Course Information & Schedules :: Psychology Major
The Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Major in Psychology
Students can now pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. The under-graduate major seeks to provide students with an understanding of four major areas:
- The mental structures and processes that underline individual human experience and behavior.
- The scientific methodologies by which a knowledge base is acquired.
- The critical thinking skills and skeptical inquiry necessary to evaluate scientific and popular claims concerning behavior.
- The application of scientific psychological principles to personal and social issues.
The major curriculum reflects a multidisciplinary focus and seeks to help students learn that the governing principles behind human behavior and thought can be understood in the same way that we have come to know the physical world.
