Learning
The UA Distance Learning program works with other departments and units on campus to develop and deliver specialized certificates, degree programs, and individual courses using video, CD-ROM/DVD, and Web technology.
- Independent Study
through Correspondence- Independent Study through Correspondence credit courses are available to students anytime, anywhere. Students from high school to graduate school can set their own pace and take up to nine months to complete a course. Any class offered for credit at UA Correspondence may also be taken for personal development or enrichment, for no credit.
- Professional
Development- Professional Development offers programs that train and prepare organizations and individuals in IT and business skills. Programs are delivered on campus or in customized courses at a company or workplace.
- Credit
Outreach- Credit Outreach offers a variety of flexibly-scheduled degree and certificate courses and programs for University of Arizona academic credit – both on and off the UA campus.
- UA Evening &
Weekend- UA Evening & Weekend is specifically designed to serve working adults, and addresses the educational needs of students who wish to earn a bachelor's degree, but can only attend classes in the evenings and on weekends. B.A. degrees in Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS), Communication, Political Science, and Psychology are offered.
- Youth
Programs- Youth Programs - Students in grades 3-12 are introduced to the excitement of a college environment through specialty summer camps offered through UA academic units, including the College of Law, the College of Optical Sciences, the School of Music, and the College of Nursing.
- Seniors' Programs
- Seniors' Programs includes two programs specifically designed for Active Adults: Exploritas and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). Exploritas offers participants the opportunity to explore Tucson, Nogales, and Mexico through educational travel and programs. OLLI is a member-led organization featuring stimulating, noncredit learning on a university level.

Computer Courses Go Online!
UA Employees Receive 10% Discount on all Online Courses!

The UA Outreach College is now offering online Professional Development and Computer courses! The online courses are instructor-led and offer the option of utilizing on-campus computer labs and open lab time with instructors. Open labs will run from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, on the third floor of the University Services Building (888 N. Euclid Ave.). Each month, specific instructors will be available on set days and times to assist students who are enrolled in online courses. To take advantage of the open computer labs, students will need to contact Jo Ann Sanders (sand@email.arizona.edu or 626-5091) to schedule a day and time to come in.
The majority of our online courses are offered on an ongoing, open enrollment basis, which means that you can start them at any time. Each course lists the estimated number of hours typically required to complete the program. Most courses also offer you 12 months of access to the course, the instructor, and to our open labs.
In addition to our online and classroom offerings, we provide customized courses to groups of five or more. These courses may be offered in either on or off campus locations.
Classroom courses will still be offered, but there must be a minimum of five students enrolled in the course before we can schedule it. If you are interested in a classroom course, please visit our Web site at http://outreachcollege.arizona.edu/comped to add your name to our waiting list. Once we have at least five students on the waiting list, we will schedule the class and contact you.
